I found some documentation and blogs about the RDT including a user guide, but when trying to run the application, it doesn't work.
I checked all the parameters and they are correct, but when trying to run, some text about how to use reposcan.exe appears in window cmd like I had executed with a wrong parameter or used a "/?" parameter.
Below is my reposcan command line, I divided in lines for a better reading, I tried to use it directly in cmd, in a .bat file and inside a text file (using optionsfile parameter).
Could you tell me if there is an error in my command line or if there is a missing parameter?

Hi All-Recently I have installed BO 4.1 sp2 server and client.I heard about query builder.I am not sure how to access query builder.Is a client component?
I have already tried this link (http:\\server:port\admin tools\).This is giving me an error page.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

I just upgraded a sandbox server from FP5.6 to SP7. However, I noticed that the web services DLLs in BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\web services\en\dsws_consumer\data\dswsDotNet2Api all have a file date of 11/29/2011, and a version of 12.5.2000.1190.
Does this mean that the web services DLLs have not been touched since SP5, or was my upgrade incomplete?
Published a universe (unx) file to repository and when i try to import it to create a query in webi rich client, it doesnt open the window where i select my objects. Anyone know what is causing it? However, it works and opens fine in bi launch pad. Any suggestions?

My organization is having issues with the Crystal Print control. We employ Crystal Enterprise Server 12. The CMC is configured to use the Web Viewer and the Active X print control. We have two sets of issues:
1) Users with Admin rights can install the control, but get prompted to install the control with each report request. We have gotten around this by agreeing to always trust Business Objects America and just having it silently install every time.
2) Users without Admin rights cannot print. I have read the following:

I completed the process of manually installing/registering the print control to no avail. On each report request and print, I still receive the prompt to install the print control.
How can I overcome this? I need a way to distribute the print control to all users and have the web viewer respond to it being installed/registered. I have noticed that when the control is installed from the viewer prompt, a Crystal Reports Print Controll add-on is seen in Internet Explorer. However, when following the steps above in item 2 and manually installing, it is not.

I want to use report bursting using crystal report in CRS 2011 SP6 (Using Dynamic Recipient).
I have done it using WebI but here the requirement is for Crystal report to be busted.

I've installed SAP BusinessObjects 4.1 SP2 on the production server and I never update any patches. Now, I think the BusinessObjects 4.1 has six patches for SP2 (patch 1-6) and another new support package 3 (SP3 patch 1). Which one should I choose to update on my BO server in case I prefer the most stable patch?

I have a dashboard developed in Business Objects 4.1 SP3 environment with BW 7.3 as backend (BICS connection to Bex queries). I would like to package this dashboard and underlying Bex query and deploy it in another environment with same Business Objects and BW versions. Please let me know if it can be done.

We are uising SAP BI 4 Sp06. The current SAP BO Production Audit DB size is quite high approx >8 GB, this may have performance impact.
We are planning to Archive Audit DB entry older than March 2014, (Only Archive (Backup) no deletion) .\
As our DB team is not aware about Audit DB structure, they are requesting to provide script to backup/archieve Data upto March.
Any idea how to achieve this?

Not everytime they have to right click and select the view option.

We have a Crystal Report that has a chart at the top of the page, group headers, details and footers. I am trying to run down a problem we are having with the report not displaying the chart or the grouping information when run through the BI Portal. This report orginally had static parameters, but for our requirements I changed a number of them to dynamic parameters. If we run the version with static parameters through the portal, it works ok, but if we run the version with the dynamic parameters, no graph is displayed, and the grouping information is missing as well.
The report runs fine when run through Crystal Reports, it is just when it is being run through the portal. It is almost as if the suppression formula for the group headers/footers is always evaluating to true, despite the fact that it should be resolving to false.
Any ideas as to how I can troubleshoot these issues? I don't have direct access to the portal, I have to go through our administrator.

We have a requirement wherein our enterprise users (running on BO 4.1 sp02)will be be able to auto generate their passwords and receive it on their email-id.We also want to setup security question as a part of validation..I guess using Java SDK is an option..but confused about the security question setup and also password being sent to email id registered..Any ideas or suggestions would be great..

I have seen many blogs on how to import/export data from server to .BIAR using import wizard but surprisingly I was unable to find how to copy the data from .BIAR file to server.
I'll explain the issue more elaborately.
I have created the .BIAR file using importwiz. And then I have tried to copy the data in the .BIAR to a different server, but I was unable to see the folders and the reports when I'm trying to do it with the Importwiz(Please note that I'm aware that we can copy data from server to server using import wizard).
So, I just wanted to know why are we unable to see the data in the .BIAR file when running the Import wizard? Let me know if you need any more details.
