We have a production system with B0 4.1 SP2,Crystal 2013 and Tomcat as web server.This is a stand alone system. Single sign on is implemented. Os is window server 2012.CMS repository is Oracle 11g.
We are planning to change the name of the server. For example if the current server is xxx001 after rename it would be rrr545.Can you please let me know what all changes would required to make Bo up and running after server renaming occurs.

I installed BO 4.1 sp2 under windows 2007 server(without Hyper-V) after installation I check CMC---Servers --- all servers health status is green except :
*.APS.Core -> Status: Running with Errors.
When checked the problem, it seams that : ClearCase did not start
Did not find why?
Also when try to start the Monitoring, I get this :

I got a BI 4.1 SP03 over SBO. Connection is to MS SQL 12.
got a strange error while trying to create measure inside IDT, after a while that evertyhing was working fine.
Continued the 'investigation' and found out the connection in the BO to the DB fails - while pressing "EDIT" on the connection and pressing "Test" inside the popup - succeed.
Important: This is happening since upgrade from BI 4.0 to 4.1 SP03 3 days ago.
The file attached is the error I get while creating a measure on IDT.
Webi working fine, dashboards working fine. data is coming from DB fine. only IDT and DS runs into error (same error in all actions)
Couldn't find in similar case around - anyone have any idea?

Recently our company decided to move from BOXI 3.1 to 4.1.
We're using BOXI 3.1 .NET Enterprise SDK to run Publications and distribute reports to users.
Basically, workflow is as follows (simplified):
We run multiple publications simultaneously on a Job server; each publication has a Webi document associated with it. To make reports refreshing properly, we update underlying Webi document's Prompts (without saving this document back to InfoStore), and then run this Publication. Each publication has MHTML output format enabled among all others (this is required); all these output files are distributed to a dedicated folder using a DiskUnmanaged plugin. Then we process/distribute these files by using our own custom framework.
When I tried to investigate how to do it with SDK version 4.1, I noticed that there are few key parts missing:
The question is: is there some alternative how to achieve the same in .NET 4.1 SDK?
I know, there is RESTful web services SDK; it allows running publications, but there is no way to set up prompts of a Publication's underlying Webi, and running Webi Reports directly is not something we want (plus MHTML output is not supported in this case). It is possible in fact to export a Webi report to MHTML, but it will require to save refreshed report back to InfoStore prior to exporting, which we don't want either.
We're considering moving BOXI-interoperating code to Java SDK 4.1 as Java's one is more feature-rich, written in pure Java contrary to .NET's COM interop, includes a proper documentation (which is not the case with .NET one) and probably it will allow to reuse existing workflow completely (there are some quirks with populateWebiPrompts still, but there is one 'unofficial' workaround to solve that).
What would you recommend?

I have tried standard audit report - but they time out or retrieve no data
I also have query builder option if someone can give exact syntax
I also have activity universe access if someone can exactly tell what to do?

It have followed document below to get Windows AD authentication to work on CRS2011.
However, I cannot figure our why my Mapped AD Member Groups are not updating. The Windows AD configuration takes my user name ans password as well as the AD group. It clearly is talking to AD or it wouldn't be able to determine the DN of the group I added.
However, when I access the Users and Groups and select my group, there are no user names listed for the members of this group.
I know that KRB is working as I was able test successfully using kinit so if I could just figure out why my AD groups are not updating, this should resolve my problem.

BI 4.1, SP1, Patch 2 (Windows/Tomcat)
Running into intermittent error messages of the ERR_WIS_30270 variety when using Webi, and eventually WIReportServer.exe on the app server crashes and restarts. (This causes additional problems on the client PC when the "auto-save" timeout ends and the user's browser tries to save the report [fail] hundreds of times per minute.)
So far have tried, none have worked:
Setting all servers to run on static ports
Creating a second Webi APS (both running, for redundancy)
Creating a second Webintelligenceprocessingserver (same)
Adjusting Xms, XmX, and MaxPermSize parameters on Webi APS
Adjusting JTCss size on Webintelligenceprocessingserver
Unchecking "Use LOV Cache" on the Webintelligenceprocessingserver
Creating a duplicate SIA with all new servers and running from those
Occurs with small or large reports. Does not matter whether they were migrated from XI3.1 or created new in 4.1. Also does not matter whether I am running reports via the web or in the Rich Client, I see the same behavior. And occasionally, the Rich Client will crash on my local PC.
I have an open support case and have searched and read through every pertinent article I could find, but have not seen anything that matches these symptoms yet.
Has anyone else had similar trouble? Is there anything else I can try (aside from hoping newer patches will work)?

I have set up a few probes for monitoring our business objects system. Some are scheduled to run every 5 mins, some every 30 mins and some hourly. It looks like that an 'secEnterprise:Administrator' session is opened every time a probe is run. This wouldn't be a problem if the seesion automatically closed after the probe had finished. Unfortunately they seem to stay open and I end up with multiple Administrator sessions opened for no reason.
Should the Administrator session close after each probe has finished or is it normal to have multiple sessions for the same user open. How to I get the session to close properly?

I'm running BO 4.0 SP2 with kerberos SSO with tomcat on a web box and then an app box for everything else. We have Kerberos SSO working with Windows AD but when we enable constrained delegation and try to proxy in via the Microsoft Forefront TMG SSO fails with "Account Information Not Recognized: Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on."
Debug and logging is enabled. I get a success message in stderr.log

It looks like it's stripping the username off. The TMG admin says they can see where the ticket is passing with the user name. SAP support says they can't support the TMG(understandable) so here I am in limbo.

We are on BO XI R2 SP5 using Windows AD authentication.
when new users are added or existing users are deleted from the AD group they are not getting updated automatically.
I have to click on UPDATE button in the authentication page of the CMC. The new users are getting added, but the users who are deleted from the AD domain controller still exist. i am deleting them manually.
i have gone through the below SAP notes
There it is mentioned to create a java or a VB script to automate the updating of groups in CMC.
Does anyone have the script either in java or VB?

We have changed the URL Redirect of BI4 Installation <BO sever>:Port/BOE/BI to an alias example "xyz".
However, when we rightclick on the BO Document and click on Document link, we get the FQDN:port number. What we'd like is that it would replace it to: http://xyz/BOE/OpenDocument....
How should I achieve this result?
I've searched a lot regarding this, but cannot find the solution. Maybe I am not looking in the place.

I installed SAP BI 4.1(SP2) on windows 2008 and everything was fine at the end installation completed with error
SAP Business Object BI platform 4.1. SP2 has encountered error during install process.and i click finish and login to CMC and it errores out
Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS 'USA7061VM1211:6400'. The CMS on machine 'usa7061vm1211' was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031)
I am using oracle database as repository object. I tried to search on SAP site and found something related to CMS system database is overloaded, please try again...
