we are getting different "JCO_ERROR_DESTINATION_DATA_INVALID" errors if we are navigating through design studio applications (-> OLAP connection SAP BW) released at our SAP BO BI Platform caused by different reasons:

java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 1, Size: 1

Invalid axis tuple size: Provider Result set ROWS

Invalid program status
...

The problem only occurs if there are more than 20 - 30 contemporaneous OLAP/BIP connections (different users). If there are i.e. 5 OLAP connections/BIP sessions we are not able to reproduce the error.

In every case we get the same warning:

Our environemnet is:

Due to load distribution we are using three application servers for our BW system (Java stack)

SAP BO BI Platform 4.1 SP6 with newest DS Add On 1.6 SP 1 Patch 2.

   In my landscape, we have installed BOBI 4.1 SP2 on windows 2008 and the oracle version is 11g. Everything is working fine except audit configuration. Actually SAP recommended to install both 32 bit oracle and 64 bit oracle client in server. But if we install both version on server then how it will works and how can we set env. variables and TNS entry. Totally confused and am not good at oracle. Any one input is highly appreciated.

We have installed a trial version of Crystal Server. When we launch a report, we use something like this:

The report runs okay. But there is no way to log off the sessions. Even when we close the browser. So we run out of concurrent licenses very quickly.

The only option is either to reboot the server or wait the sessions to time out (which is about 20 minutes). Is there a way to resolve the issue? We are using Crystal Server 2013 SP1 (BI Platform 4.1 SP1).

I'm back with a tricky question.

I've been trying to figure out by myself, but so far I haven't get any clue.

In my system, I'm currently having a problem for scheduled reports during Day Light Saving change.

Ok, I know the flow (which is described in http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-20403 and is very useful by the way).

I can see that CMS keeps checking on CMS DB for reports that must be triggered at that time, and when the time comes it starts further processing to run the object / report.

My problem:

• Let's suppose that I schedule a report to run on 06:00 (let's assume BRT - Brazilian timezone without DST).
• Then the DST comes and I stop BO, set the server + 1 hour and start BO.
• And now the reports run on 05:00  (let's assume BRST - Brazilian timezone with DST).

Scheduling configuration (i.e.):

Run object: daily

Days(N): 1

Start date/time: 06:00 AM 06/10/2016

As additional INFO: I have set the same TZ in preferences for all users.

Known problem: a long time ago I had the same problem in BO 6.5, and I had to adjust the schedules manually with a fix provided by SAP. But this haven't happening since version 3.1.

Hello colleagues,

We have a Production environment in BI4.1 recently updated from SP2 Patch 2 to SP7 Patch 1, composed of 4 nodes, two Intelligence nodes with (RAM 75G each) with CMS server and other two for processing(RAM 65G each), and CMS and Audit DB in Oracle 11g. Both CMS nodes have Tomcat running.

I'm not completely sure if after the update came the issue we are currently experiencing.

We login to the CMC web page without any issues or spinning concerns, but once we are inside the CMC, we are noticing that when we move to "Servers" or "Users and Groups" tabs take too long to load them completely, Servers tab takes 50 seconds to display all Nodes information(I must mention once is fully loaded, we can move through nodes, metrics and properties options without delay or concerns, the spinning is only occurring every time we move to one of these tabs; for Users and groups is taking 1 minute to populate every time we move there, in our DEV and QA environments take less than 10 sec for each tab. Also we have tried using other Tomcat environment(QA) with the same result, All of the other tabs load correctly without delays.

After update we just rebuilt the Paltform Search Index due was not working before update, it was been going slow and due some high usage of the system we just stopped the Platform Search indexing, but the Servers/Users and Groups(Almost 3000 users only) tabs still have the same behavior.

Can you consider this is a normal behavior? Have you experienced this before? Where could be the malfunctioning here is case is something wrong?

We are on BI4.1 SP6 on Win Server 2012 R2, with Tomcat on another server. Basically we have split deployment with BOE on one server and tomcat on another.

In my organization, we have two separate Win AD domains, one domain for corporate users and another for us which is the default domain. I implemented SSO for BILaunchpad with Windows AD authentication and SSO is working fine for the users from the default domain, but it is not working for users from the other domain. They are however are able to manually login by typing in their USERID@DOMAINNAME and their password.

We have the other domain info in the KRB5.ini file and that is how they are able to manually log in. I opened a ticket with SAP for assistance and the rep looked over our configuration and all looked good from the BO side. We are still trying to troubleshoot why the SSO isn't working for other domain users.

We collected wireshark traces from the other domain users and found this error message "KRB Error: KRB5KDC_ERR_S_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN".

We searched for duplicated SPN's in both the domains but couldn't find any. The service account we are using for Win AD authentication is created on the default domain.

Any thoughts what else we should be looking into? I appreciate your help and suggestions.

I have created standard WEBI recipient document at top of Excel document wiht refresh on open and uploaded it to BI platform.

After upload I can open that WEBI report, he will refresh and everyhing works fine.

But when I tryto use that WEBI report as source for Dynamic Recipients in Publication I get error massage:

You do not have the right to access data returned by this universe.

and in logs from my WebintelligenceProcesinServer i have found:

When i try to schedule a WEBI report to FTP, i get the below error

"Destination disabled. [CrystalEnterprise.Ftp]: []. Please note the name of the job server used for your request and contact your system administrator to make sure the specified destination is enabled. (FWB 00031)"

I configured the respective FTP credentials in WEBI Adaptive job server under destination and then FTP is working fine now.

But my worry is that i have multiple FTP destinations for different reports but only one Adaptive JOB server..

How i do my configure my BO server in such a way i can satisfy the requirement of FTP'ing  different WEBI reports  to their different FTP servers using single Adaptive job server

I had to restart SIA to restore service, I have seen similar issues in this forum but the fix was license key however when I look at the glf logs the issue seems here related to memory.

I know this is not the right forum, but I have to ask any way.

We use BOE 4.X for all our enterprise report scheduling and running.  We would like to be able to create a report to determine the running time of each report in BOE.  Is there a table(s) with in the BOE database that would hold this information?  The report name, start and end date/time would just about all the data needed.

In a process of installing SAP Live office plugin on the machine, because of the company IT policies and securities we need to provide the following information which we are unable to locate;

1. Where does the Logon details (User name and password) gets stored in the client machine, where the plugin is installed. (We have observed that after providing the logon details while installing the Live office plugin, the details got stored and we do not need to provide the details every time we launch the plugin, even if we shut down the machine. Hence it should be getting saved some where)
2. Does these details gets encrypted as well? If yes, what is the encryption method used for the same.

I have been using the plugin on one of the machine, however now this plugin needs to be installed on multiple machine machines for which we need this info.

We are using SAP BI 4.1 SP4 for Live Office.

Appreciate your help on this.

Actually, they are N number of project folders.

In each project folder, there is a specific folder which has been assigned with a custom access level role.

We would like to get the list of those specific folders for which custom role is assigned.

Issue 2:

Sessions - using this option in CMC, we can see the current number of sessions in the system.

Can we see the same result in a dashboard. If yes, please let me how can we make this possible.

Issue 3:

Recurring Instance:

I see that we have an excel macro enabled to get the list of recurring instances with the events. As well, another excel is available which shows success, failed, pending, paused instances except recurring.

But, I want to get only the list of recurring instances. Can we achieve this using the audit report or any macro enabled excel. f yes, please let me know how this can be possible.

we use BusinessObjects Enterprise 4.1. SP5 with BMC Remedy. We configured the whole setup according to the BMC configuration guide and the Remedy Server seems to reach the BO, but in the end we get the following error message instead of the report preview:

Does anyone have any idea about the Repository Documenter(Excel Sheet) available for SAP Business Objects which queries the CMS and lists all the information of the Repository objects including Universe, their folder locations, connection information , users, list of reports etc?

I remember working on it in my previous project but not sure where to find the file. The excel requires CMS name before refreshing it.
