we have a peculiar requirement . we have a user account which is used for development for longer time for BO
now we want that user id to be locked. we don't want to change password or reset,as this user-id is used in the connection creation of many universes.
so please suggest how we can lock this user id or an alternate options for this
at present we are in SAP Business Objects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 4 Patch 5

Just wonder if anyone have successfully scheduled a webi report to write to a Sharepoint location. We are running BI 4.1 SP2 on top of a Redhat Linux 6.5. Users are requesting to schedule reports to be saved to Sharepoint. I entered the AD user name and password and the Sharepoint path in the scheduling dialogue box. The AD account does have access to write file to the Sharepoint path, I tested it on the browser. When the report is ran, it failed with error

Hello everyone, I am facing this issue with a webi report. Every time I try to access a report, I get this following error:

SUSE Linux.
Report type: Webi
The Universe does exist in the Enterprise Platform. I have also made changes to the security profile in Universe to less restrictive.
and granted full access rights to the folder where the report is concerned and explicit grant Data Access for Universe IDT (in CMC) for the user.
Please suggest if I missed anything else .

We are seeing a lot of "Update Authentication Group Membership" instances in failed status.. (using Instance Manager). We have our AD update to be done only once a day.. What could be the reason for so many failed instances?
The location on the instance says "Administrative Tools/Update Authentication Group Membership", but we do not see the folder in CMC to access the schedule and delete it.
I think this is also causing performance issues on the entire application.
We are planning to stop the scheduled daily update and re-do the schedule, but would like some insight on why this is happening.. (SAP Note - 1965981 - Logon to BI Launchpad is intermittently slow)
Also, if there is a script that can be executed to delete these failed instances, it will be of great help.
The query builder query to get the information about the Administrative Tool folder times out. FYI.. The Administrative Tool folder is in the CI_APPOBJECTS table.

i want to share a few reports in the BI Launchpad for some customers. Is it possible to have an automatic login in the BI Launchpad?
Users should just go to the URL and then automaticly can choose from the reports without a login.

Hi, We are in version Bi 4.1sp5 We have clustered environment 2 nodes in 2 servers with 2 tomcats,connected by loadbalancer server 1 server1.domain.com server 2 server2.domain.com f5 bireports.domain.com SSO is working for individual nodes, however it is not working for load balancers. We are on BI 4.1 SP5 patch 6 installed on Windows 2012 and have 2 instances of Tomcat running on 2 different Web servers.We have chosen F5 load balancer for these 2 web tiers. Network team has configured Load Balancing and gave us the URL. When performing a fail over test we have encountered with the below error message
" Invalid Session. Please close your browser and log on again. ( WIH 00013)
When user is in the Load balance, For ex if Server A has been choosen by the Load Balancer in Round Robin method then after some user activity we will stop Server A and by design user should be redirected to Server B with out any loss in the session. But this is not happening in our case,in the fail over test when a server is stopped user will see the above message and after some time ( may be after 1 minute) when user refreshes the page he will be directed to the Launchpad home screen.
How can we get rid off of the invalid session error message? We have SSO enabled with Windows AD authentication and this issue if for Launch pad.
Any suggestions on this are much appreciated
Recently, we are getting an error message when we are trying to access BusinessObject Launch Pad through Firefox.

Our installation is BIP4.1 sp5 on Linux. We are using the default built in web server Tomcat. Our Firefox version is 38.1.0.

Dear experts,
I am setting up BI platform with clustered servers. BI 4.1 SP5
2 BI Servers
2 Tomcat servers
Planning to use F5 for LB purpose.
Do i need to cluster the Tomcat servers first and setup the F5 LB or Just setting up the load balancing at F5 will take care of Tomcat clustering?
I looked at many posts, they all talk about Apache with Tomcat.
Irrespective of any LB used either software load balance (Apache) or Hardware load balance (Like F5), still need to cluster the Tomcat as described in Pattern books?

We are using SAP BI 4.1 platform and have set up Enterprise authentication. For this, we create a new group and assigned access level with View/ View on Demand and Schedule. Created users under this group. When the users under this group run the reports in BI Launchpad we get this error "
The viewer could not process an event. Your request was refused because you do not have the right 'Right To Refresh' Error code: [CRWEB00000119]". Please note, I changed the access level to include Full/Full Control as well but the same error persists.
Can someone please let me know how to resolve this.

We are testing the deployment of a web load balancer (F5 networks) on a SAP Bi deployment (4.1 SP4 Patch 1 - Windows 64).
After its initial configuration following error appears after entering the credentials in the login page
"This page has expired. Enter your credentials and try again. (FWC00006)"
We have found a KBA note (2085065 - Error "This page has expired. Enter your credentials and try again. (FWC00006)" when logon CMC or BI Launch
Pad) that describes same error using apache AJP for loading balance purposes.
Situation described in the note does not match exactly our scenario (where balance is managed by F5, not an apache instance) so provided resolution can not be applied but I suspect that the root cause is similar (balancer is not able to manage the session).
Has anyone a prevuous experience with F5 & SAP BI Tomcat facing same error?
