We enabled Discussions options in CMC The entered comments are not properly getting displayed and scroll bar in that panel is not proper .Where can we change the size of the Discussions panel .
Can we call comments entered with query builder or somewhere to list all the comments entered by user for a report .Please observe below screenshot. Can we maximize this panel .

How to find out all the reports which are using a specific object from the Universe.
For Example:
>We have an Universe ABC and One Object AAA
>On top of ABC Universe we have 100 Reports
>Out of these 100 Reports 25 Reports are Using 'AAA' Object

Hello Experts,
We have an AFO Workbook which has data of around 4.5 MB. We saved that to BOBJ Environment (BI Launchpad). When we schedule this workbook on either email or on file system, we get the message as 'Size limit of result set exceeded' and we do not see any data. The workbook contains only 1 Data source (Bex Query).
Also if we have a workbook of around size 6 MB which has say 3 Data Sources, out of which 1 of the data source has size of data around 3.5+ MB and other 2 Data sources has size of 1-2 MB each. When we schedule the workbook, the workbook which we receive on email or on file system has size only 2.5 MB. The Data source with 3.5+ MB size didn’t get refreshed and it gives same message as above Size limit of result set exceeded.
So even though we get Success as status of scheduling, we do not get exact size workbook either on email or file system. The workbook size getting truncated. Has anyone faced a similar issue before.
Is there any limitation on AFO schedulling with respect to size, if yes then what is that threshold. Or else is there any setting which can increase the default limitation.

We're looking at a new deployment of 4.1, and we need to figure out how to authenticate two types of users, internal and external. Both types are from Active Directory environments, and internal users must use LDAP via an LDS. Because its Unix, there's no option to use the AD plugin for the externally authenticated users. Therefore is there a way to use multiple (different) LDAP servers, or can Trusted Authentication be setup to check against the second LDAP server? I've tried looking through the forums, admin guide, and multiple third party webpages, however none of them have directly confirmed nor denied the feasibility of these options.

Need your help to find out the exact issue and help to resolved the same.
I am trying to install the BO 4.1 SP06 in Windows 2008 R2, with the Jboss as an application server instead of tomcat,
during my installation, selected the SQL Anywhere as a default for Audit and CMS and selected other default options and finally I manually configured the jboss server at the end of the installation using wdeploy tool, installation completed successfully without any error.
i can able to view the initial page of the CMC and also BI, so hope there is no issue in the jboss manual deployment. but not able to login,
when i try to check the SIA in the CCM, unable to find it, only BW publisher service available in the CCM,
trying to create an SIA with the add node with default server option, but not able to proceed in the CMS login page, it showing unable to connect the CMS, CMS is not running
i tried to check the port using netstat -na | find "6400" - showing as established
Noting for the Port 6410
for jboss web application server - showing as Listening
checked in the service.msg - SQLAnywhere DB is showing as Started state
in the Event log also i am able to view the CMS Started message,
tried to uninstall and re-installed the same but no luck, i need to check anything in the default CMS DB or any other setting?

I am using BO 4.1 on windows. We just upgraded our test system from SP5 to SP6 and the scheduled crystal reports began failing after the upgrade. The failed instance is giving an error that says: "Database Connector Error: 'RFC_INVALID_HANDLE'"
In the server log I can see an error that says:"
assert failure: (.\rasprocUtil.cpp:718). (false : ExtractLogons(): could not extract SI_LOGON_MODE from si_logonsBag property bag). "
This same schedule worked fine in SP 5 but it is failing in SP 6.
Has anyone seen this error before and if so, how do I fix it?
I am going against an SAP BW backend for the data.

When our users accesing, BO 4.1 Opendocument URL using single sign on , from their machine, it is working intemittently. Many times is giving an error
"This Webpage is not available" Err_ Unexpected. When we click detail on that error page, it gives complete Opendocument URL as below.

This issue occuring in few of users machines intermittently, earlier it use to work for them as well.
When I run the same URL on my machine after clearing the cache or temporary internet files, it is working for me , I am able to view the report.
Both the Opendoc url using CMS host name and single sign on opendoc URL are giving issue to the users. And these both URls working for me.
When users trying to capture the fiddler traces, that time these URLs working fine, when they stopped fiddler, again intermittently giving the error.
As they are able to view the report sometimes but many times is giving the error. Does anything capture when we set the tracelogs for Opendocument.
Users they cleared the cache and temp files and after opening in new browser also giving the error.
Could you please help me what could be the reason of getting this error and how to solve this. Please help.

I am getting this error

Information: Missing patch: libXext-devel-1.1-3.el6.i686
Missing patch: libXext-devel-1.1-3.el6.x86_64
I tried to install these packages, it failed because there are higher version of package I have on this box.
I have these on box Installing : libXext-1.3.1-2.el6.i686 (which is a higher version). I could get these installed using yum install libXext.i686 -y --setopt=proctected_multilib=false
Is BO SP4 not supported on the version of OS I have mentioned via uname -a command. On the PAM it says it supports RH Linux 2.6

We have just migrated to SAP BO 4.1 not sure of service pack. Our reports were developed in Crystal 2011. We are currently having problem with text boxes being chopped on the last word (truncated). Have tried different printer setting, can grow option, tried reducing font by a .5 value. Nothing fixed problem. These reports are being auto generated using URL reporting with EXPORT TO PDF option. Anyone else experience this problem. This was a problem on BO XI 3.x version on Windows but there were registry entries we modified "I think to fix". Its been a long time ago.
Any help appreciated or suggestions.

Some users can login through windows AD successfully.
Some users got this error:
Account information not recognized: Active Directory authentication failed to log you on. Please contact your administrator to make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group and try again, if you are not a member of the default domain, enter your username as Username@dns_domainname, and then try again. (FWM 00006)
All users has the same setting in AD.
Can anyone help me know the query I should be using for pulling out a report from query builder on how many concurrent sessions have been generated per month for last six months.
Basically we are upgrading to 4.1 and this is required for planning purpose.

I have a requirement to implement an OLAP connection between Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS) Cubes and SAP BO 4.1 SP6 via a secured connection (https).
With this guide I successfully connected my SAP BO server with the SSAS Cubes.
But now I would like change this http connection to https.
The upcoming question is now: Is SAP BO ready to handle a https connection to the SSAS server? And if the answer is yes: Is there a guide to do like this?

We are using SAP BI 4.1 SP 5 based upon Windows Servers. We are using a clustered environment, so we have to save our content on a NAS Storage, which could be accessed from all backend nodes.
We see some severe performance issues with this setup, if we try to schedule reports and save them in Excel format.
e.g. the scheduled WebI Document takes 60 seconds, the same report saved as Excel takes 1000 seconds.
After some investigation, we came to the point, that a direct write to the NAS(independently which one, we tried another windows server, we tried different NAS storages, ...) via SMB takes much more longer, as the data from the source(in our case oracle) has no continious flow, it will disrupt and wait, until the package is being written to the NAS. We can't see such a behaiviour, if we would write to local disk.
Is there a chance, to create Excel documents on the local disk or to keep them on a local cache, before they are transfered to the File repository, ?

Now to we want to use Oracle-Dbfs with HTTPS.
It is possible that the BOXI Server communicates with its IFRS and OFRS via https?
I mean working and if it is a good idea / supported?

we are trying to deploy the SAP BO 4.x on top of Jboss application server in Windows Env instead of default tomcat application server,
what are the steps we need to follow in the standalone server installation? checked in the Web Application deployment guide, Are we need to use WDeploy Tool to deploy the War file is enough? or we need to follow any other steps ? can you able to share any exact step by step document or SAP Note? or any other useful doc, it will helpful for us,

Does anyone have any tips on improving excel performance when exporting a webi report? I don't want to get into discussions on why users are trying to export larger files (in excess of 6MB); I am just looking for suggestions.
When a user runs the export, not only does it take a long time, but there is simply no notification that the export is even processing or if it stopped, etc.
In previous tools, the user could run the same query and it would run and export very quickly, but in BO it could take upwards of 10min or [much] more.
Any ideas? We are on BO 4.0 SP 7 Patch 7 currently, with a planned upgrade to BO 4.1 SP4 over the summer. Maybe this is no longer an issue with 4.1?
