Our platform is BOBJ 4.0 SP4 patch 5. No issues from server side. However, some users installed patch 5 (ENTERPRISECLNT04P_5-20007508)directly instead of installing the base version. Its giving error in prerequisite check for (BI platform client 4.0 installed) as failed. So I tried to install base version for Sp4 (ENTERPRISECLNT04_0-20007508) as well as for SP02 . But all failing with same error. It seems some local file or registry got corrupted. Have you ever experienced this error before?
