Hey, some basic information first...
We are using Business Objects XI 3.1 (up to SP5).
(Web Servers) We have windows server 2003 servers as well as windows server 2008 servers.
(Reporting Servers) Our Reporting Servers are all Windows Server 2008
We have a reporting application which we deploy onto web servers which makes calls to the reporting servers to generate a report in a crystalreportviewer on our users browsers
The issue we are having is we have the same reporting application DLLs deployed to both the 2003 servers as well as the 2008 servers. Now...on 2003 everything works great no issues. On 2008 most things work great except for certain functions of the crystalreportviewer doesn't work...primarily if you try and click "next page" or "previous page" the following error gets generated:
Unable to process your request
name: SyntaxError message: Expected ')' number: -2146827282 description: Expected ')'
any thoughts?? I've been fiddling with it quite a bit over the past day or so and nothing seems to affect it. I tried sniffing out the viewstate with "view source" on a working site and a non-working site, and for the most part, things look pretty close to identical
