We are a site that reports on MS Analysis Services datasources using SSO2DB. We have been queried by a number of our users who would like to use Google Chrome as their browser in place of IE.
After reading that chrome was supported in KBA 1782311, we read KBA 1887193 which stated "Currently Chrome can be set to use SSO if you are using constrained delegation or you switch your BOE service account to perform constrained delegation (then no registry edits or policy changes are needed)".
This sounded superior to the alternative to adding the web/app URL to a registry key and distributing via SOE.
We succeeded in getting SSO working with Chrome, but in testing encountered difficulties with SSO2DB with our MS Analysis Services Cubes.
It was then we discovered a recent KBA 1688079 in which the fourth bullet point under "Symptoms" states: "At this time SSO to SQL analysis will only work with unconstrained delegation (delegation to any service (kerberos only)). We are currently testing with constrained (delegation to specified services)"
I've raised an incident (0000169714) asking if there has been any progress but things are strangely quite. Not even an acknowledgement of the issue. I am getting the feeling that the little pixies in support don't know what to do...
