Im getting this error when scheduling webi report to a destination in my linux system
error - destination directory error. [Permission denied]: [CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged]
First report runs successfully and the next failed with the above error.
Schedule the first report again and it failed.
Webi job server is setup with the destination directory.
Any solution

Dear Experts,
We are having a requirement to publish BI Reports and Dashboards outside the DMZ.
We have followed the following URL for the setup (excluding the Load Balancer part):

Now, we are getting the Login Page of the one on the OpenDocument Links configured to be accessed through the reverse proxy.
But after providing the user credentials, we are getting the following error:
HTTP Status 500 - org.apache.jasper.JasperException: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.businessobjects.swd.appcontext.CafAppWebSessionContext.getPreferredViewingLocale() of a null object returned from com.businessobjects.swd.appcontext.RequestInfo.getCafAppWebSessionContext()

Hello All,
We are on SAP BO 4.1 SP1 Update 4 (Red Hat Linux). The Visual Difference feature in CMC is not working for us when trying to compare 2 BIAR files. We are getting the following error:
[b]Plugin not found error. (VDS 00007)" [/b]
Let me know it this feature is working for any body? Also guide me how to troubleshoot this. Raised a SAP ticket on it but so far no solution yet.

we have one issue that, user belongs to Germany region for them one Webi report keep refreshing in BI launchpad, Generally report should refresh in 7 minutes, for same input parameters It works good for APAC region user, but again issue for Germany region user is specific to amount of data, for some parameter it works for them (less data), for more data report keep running
We increased the connection parameter, but still have same problem.
we have recreated the report and converted UNX universe still have the same problem
database is SQL server
we are using BO4.1 SP4
Is it seems to network problem related any firewall., which option should we need check?
Any support?

We have installed our BI Platform 41. SP6 version sometime back and while installing (in clustered mode) we setup CMS 1 with default port number 6400 and CMS 2 with another port number (7425) for some testing purposes. It is working fine and we are using this server as our UAT server and so far so good. we are planning to change this second CMS Name server port number from 7425 to default 6400 port number (for various reasons).
Any Idea on how should I do this? Also, if any one has experienced issues while changing this please let me know. That would be a great help and really appreciated.

Is there any way to schedule a report to run if some event's don't complete? Or is there a way to prevent a scheduled report to run based on an event?
My situation is that I have 6 reports that run every morning and our users want to be notified if these reports aren't complete before 5am. I'm able to notify the users when all reports are complete although they also want to know when any of them aren't going to be done by 5am.

After upgrading to SAP BO 4.1 SP07 webi reports are refreshing on open even when parameter is set to "OFF". Even more, view latest instance report does also refresh on open.
SAP Support advised to upgrade to Patch 3 (latest pathc available ), However, same issue still occur while viewing latest instances.
Does anyone experience same behavior?

Hi All,
We have recently migrated the reports from XiR2 environment to BO4.0 environment.
But the WEBI reports are taking longer time to run in 4.0 compared to XIR2.
eg: A report that takes 3 minutes to run in XIR2 are taking 10 minutes in BO4.0
Please note that data source for these reports are not changed in 4.0, and they all are pointing to Universes with datasource as Oracle.
The reports were migrated using UMT
Any reason for this performance deterioration?
We were expecting improvement in performance after moving to 4.0 but it has happened the other way .

Good greetings to you. We have BI41 SP06 running on AIX platform. We are using the Tomcat web application server. We have implemented Trusted authentication using http_header. The Single Sign ON is configured using IBM Tivoli access manager. The SSO is successfully configured and is working well. But when the session timeout happens, the users are prompted with user account and password prompt.
I noticed that when we clicked the session timeout pinger warning it adds a parameter called skipSso=true in the url. Can it be configured to false? If so in which config file?
The steps to reproduce is as follows
1. Launch the Launchpad using url : https://host/tam/BOE/BI/login.jsp
2. Wait for the session timeout warning
3. When clicking OK at session timeout, the Launchpad renders the following url asking the users to enter their user account and password
https://hostname/tam/BOE/portal/1602041119/InfoView/logon.faces?bttoken=&skipSso=true
(1602041119 is the date and time when BI41 SP06 was installed)
I am guessing that the parameter value skipSso=true is the cause of asking user to logon.
The users do not know or remember their user account and password. So I need to make sure that users should be reconnected without asking for user account and password.
I tried using url.exit to connect back. But whenever the user click logout, they are getting connected back too. This adds additional concurrent license burden. Do you folks know how to turn off the skipSso to false?

I have one crystal report job and schedule it to run daily.
Mostly it run ok but sometime it got "Running the program failed with error code -1.".
What does that mean?
And where I can check it and fix it?

Hi Experts,
I referred Data access and IDT guides (BI 4.2 SP2). In IDT, i can't create relational connection with Simba JDBC Drivers.. (using Network Layer - Simba JDBC Drivers and Database Engine - "Cloudera Impala 1.0" , as per guide, no additional configuration is required to set this up. )
I tried to access the database using "CSCHECK Ping" command tool. It fails...(attached connectivity command screenshot)
I searched SCN forums with no luck. Please suggest.
Environment Details: BI 4.2 on Windows Server 2012 R2
Database: Cloudera Impala on Linux server (AWS cluster)

We have installed SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP7 and preparing to configure the PeopleSoft 9.2/PeopleTools 8.5.4 authentication. We need to inform the PeopleSoft security team of the tables and QAS services that need to be turned on for the security plug-in and security bridge to function properly. Can anyone provide the specific listing of PeopleSoft 9.2 database tables and QAS services for the PeopleSoft authentication to roles and data?
We have Crystal Reports Server 2008. This is the second time I have dealt with this issue and I have no idea how to resolve this or what causes it. Over time, logging into the CMC web console gets slower and slower. Same thing when opening the crystal reports 2008 client tool, logging into the "enterprise" server (our server), then once I expand the enterprise tree, it take almost ten minutes for our reports to show up. Same thing with the CMC log in, it takes that long to log into the console. Once open clicking on various things is a little slow too. Even worse, if I go into the Infoview page, log in, once in I try to navigate publications, it's super slow. Once a reports is open, the report runs fine. Any scheduled reports seem to run just fine in the background however it's almost unusably slow when we try to log into the CMC over web UI or through the crystal client by logging into enterprise or using infoview looking for reports or publications. The server operating system is windows 2008 and the default install was chosen with MySQL. The server OS performance is fine, all resources are showing a low utilization percentage.
In the past, I fixed this simply by reinstalling the whole server, manually re-uploading reports and recreating publications and schedules. I really don't want to do this again. There must be an explanation to this behavior and a way to resolve.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
i have created a new ODBC connection 64 bit and 32bit using SQL server 2014. On the new connection, the report is running fine on the rich client, but it gives database error on BI Launchpad, how can i diagnose this problem?

They are in a clustered environment. Therefore they use the same CMS database. I would like to know how to cluster the Tomcat Web App Servers A and B. How does clustering in Tomcat work? Is that using a single URL, so that it Tomcat Web App Server A fails, Tomcat Web App Server B automatically picks up the session, and user does not even know Tomcat Web App Server A is down? How can I set it up this way?
I have done the steps in this link: Configuring the Application Server Cluster - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki but I don't know if it even works or how to test it. Is this all I need to do in setting up a Tomcat cluster?
I have seen Load Balancer mentioned on the forums that I see regarding Tomcat cluster but I don't know which load balancer I should use for my clustered environment.

I was wondering if in the new BO 4.2 version is possible to create a report or query from the Audit that spool everyday/hour the list of the reports that have failed.
I know there is a notification in the scheduling job but I would like something proactive without have to add a notification to all the scheduling jobs

Hi Experts,
I tried executing a report from RSECADMIN, the user has authorization to open the report and also to select values in the variable screen.
But when I click execute, I get an error 'you do not have authorization'.
The user has necessary role to access(open) that report.
I tried analysing through SU53 Tcode, it says, in authorization object S_RS_AUTH, OBI_ALL authorization is missing.
I checked the data access of the user(through RSA1 T code), it seems to be fine.
Can you please suggest me what is missing in this or am I doing something wrong in analysing?
And what does it mean by OBI_ALL authorization missing?
FYI, I just have to find out what is missing and provide the user with that access, I cannot create/modify any roles(because my organisation doesn't allow me to do that).
Please explain in detail as I am a fresher to this field.
