Error while viewing CR on SAP BOE: The viewer could not process an event. Error in File xxx.rpt: The table could not be found. [] ---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]

Hi all.

 

I have the following issue: I created a set of 23 CR reports in a QA environment which have worked smoothly. Then I promoted them to a PROD environment, but while I'm trying to view them on demand, I get the following error:

The viewer could not process an event. Error in File xxx.rpt: The table could not be found. []  ---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]

 

It happens to any of the 23 promoted reports

 

All these reports are based on Oracle tables (and CR Commands) which I access via an ODBC connection

I've learned from the QA implementation, that both versions of Oracle Client (32 and 64 bits) must be installed in the BOE server (or servers if your BOE works as a Cluster )  and that, in the Path Environment Variable, the install path that must come first is the 32 bits version and then the 64 bits version, which I did in my BOE PROD Cluster. I created TNSNAMES.ORA and SQLNET.ORA files on each server, with the same entries as the original files in the QA cluster.

 

Besides, I generated ODBC System DSNs for both cluster's servers (each server has 2 ODBC System DSN: One for the 32 bits client and another for the 64 bits client. ) I tested all these ODBC configurations and they seem to be set up properly. These ODBC System DSN have the same name as the ODBC System DSN in the QA environment, as I am pointing the

 

When the problem came up, I thought the it could be related to the Oracle installation in the PROD Cluster, so what I did, was to locally create a simple CR report which uses data from a single Oracle table. Then I published it directly into the PROD environment and set up its Database Configuration

The same way as for the 23 CR reports that have the problem. However, I can view this report properly and refresh it from within the BOE server.

 

So I am a bit lost regarding this behavior

 

The technical details of my deployment are these:

 

 

Oracle DB version : 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0

SAP BOE server: 4.0 SP 10 Patch 01

Crystal Reports: 2011

 

Any advise will be greatly appreciated

Design Studio 1.5 report not displaying (not opening) from BI launchpad

Hello,

 

Design Studio is not opening from BI launchpad, (Cursor keep on moving finally session get expired nothing is showing others like WEBI are working). While i am able to create and save reports to BIP platform and able to test it locally.

Can you please tell how to fix this issue.

currently i am at BI 4.1 SP 4 Patch 1, Design Studio 1.5 newly installed.

 

Note : Here client has splited APS into  many APS (for ex- one for WEBI, one for OLAP etc) for better performance suggested by SAP earlier. kindly give steps how to do.

WebI Crosstab report functionality issue?

Hi All,

 

I have an issue with webi crosstab report, Report has just 3 objects like name, date and hours. Currently report looks like this,

Basically I want to display data in one row instead of multiple rows.

Not sure it is kind of simple but tried in different ways, didn't find the solution.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Execute on BI Platform 1.5 "loading forever"

Hi guys,

 

This is my first time using Design Studio (1.5) and I got trouble while trying to execute on BI Platform.

 

I changed the startup configuration to "SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform", then when I open DS I do my authentication normally.

 

My problem is, if I try Execute on BI Platform or open my file directly from Lauch Pad, it keeps "loading" and nothing happens.

 

Could anyone help me??

Lumira server for BI Platform on CMS Clustered Environment

Hello Experts,

 

We are on BI 4.1 SP5 Patch 7 platform. Currently we have CMS cluster environment over 2 nodes.

 

Now we are planning to "Lumira server for BI Platform installation 1.28 version". Please clarify below points

 

 

1. Can we install the Lumira Server directly in PRD server which is CMS clustered over 2 nodes or do we need to install in DEV & QA box first just like other SAP products.

2. Kindly provide a high level steps to perform the installation over CMS clustered environment.

Incorrect date format in webI charts with English(UK) as preferred viewing locale.

Hello Experts ,

 

We have recently upgraded to BI 4.1 SP6 with BW upgraded to 7.4 from 7.0 .

 

We have tested that the following steps ensure Date format appears in dd/mm/yyyy for our customers based out of UK .

 

- When working in BI Launchpad -> Preferences -> Locale and Time Zone

-> Preferred Viewing Locale -> set it to "English (United Kingdom)"

now log out and log in again and test the behaviour.

- When using In Rich Client -> Open the report -> Properties ->

Application -> Locale -> set Preferred Viewing Locale to "English

(United Kingdom)" and check the second radio button "Use the preferred

viewing locale to format the data".

Close and re-open WRC completely.

 

This has ensured data is appearing as dd/mm/yyyy for universe based reports /BEx based reports and even for webI formulas .

 

But the date is not appearing correctly in dd/mm/yyyy when we are using them in charts .

 

 

 

Would like to have opinion from experts what we are missing here .

Corrupted WEBi report, FRS file is missing

Hi Dear Experts,

One report in PRD system is corrupted, we getting error "The document cannot be retrieved from the File Repository Server WIS 30951".

 

I looked at the report properties from CMC to identify path, and then go to FRS(BI) server, but report file(and some folders from full path) is missing in FRS directory.

 

I delete this report from PRD CMC, and then via Promotion management transport same report from DEV repository(in dev it works fine). Transport is successful, but in Prod I'm getting the same error WIS 30951.

I also check path of new transported report, but now all folders from path are available, but ".wid" file is missing.

 

What can I do?

SAP BO Promotion Management Promotion Status=Warning : error.message.override.notavailable

Good evening

 

I need to migrate a series of Crystal Reports from my QA environment into my PROD environment. There are 23 reports which run smoothly in the QA environment.

 

The CR reports use and ODBC (RDO) connection to access some Oracle tables  and views which I linked internally within CR as for creating an internal data model

I have made the DB configuration for the reports, as follows:

These reports use some List of Values (LOV) within, in order to implement some dynamic prompting and are contained in a folder in the QA cluster environment . A Users Group was created so that it's members are the only who can have access to the reports' folder.

 

I created a Promotion Job which includes

  1. The 23 reports
  2. The Data Foundation, Business Elements, Business Views and List of Values objects which are needed for the dynamic prompting
  3. The folder where the 23 reports are stored

 

I choose not to Promote Security

 

After the Promotion Job gets executed, I can see that only the objects promoted are the folder and the dynamic prompting objects ( items 2 and 3 in the previous list).  The CR reports did not pass from QA to PROD.

 

For creating the Promotion Job , I signed into SAP BOE using a user account which has Administrator privileges :

The Job Promotion Status ends as Success. However if I go to the Job History I can see 2 tabs

  • Success: For the folder and the Business View objects
  • Warning: For every one of the 23 CR reports, this message gets displayed:

 

 

Resolution Status=Copied, Dependency Status=All the required dependencies are included., Commit Status=Commit is successful., Promotion Status=Warning : error.message.override.notavailable

 

As far as I know the overrides configuration might be done for easing the configuration of DB connections through BO environments (whether desired or not). In my case I did not set up any overrides so I don't think the message within Promotion Manager, is related to the problem I'm having now

 

Moreover, this is not the first time I use Promotion Manager for this kind of tasks the same way as for these reports, but had not had any problems so far

 

The SAP BOE version installed is 4.0 SP 10 Patch 01

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Error FWM 02127 when generating a certificate for SAP HANA Authentication

Hi All,

 

I'm trying to configure SAML SSO from SAP BO to SAP HANA and has completed the SAP HANA part. However, when I try to generate certificate for SAP HANA in SAP BO CMC, I get the following error:

 

Failed to generate the certificate due to: A random object must be specified for RSAKeyPairs.. (FWM 02127)

 

I get this error while doing the following, CMC >> Applications >> HANA Authentication. Add the hostname, port and unique ID. When I click on GENERATE, I get that error.

 

Has anyone seen this error before or has an idea on how to solve this? If yes, can you please share how to solve this? Thanks a lot.

after upgrade of BO4.1 SP04 patch 0 on AIX to BO4.1 SP04 patch 12 the server CrystalReports2013ProcessingServer do not start anymore.

Publication using multiple values in the dynamic user list

Hello Everyone,

 

I have been trying to schedule a publication using the dynamic user list. We have webi report which has the object for "Marketing Fare Basis" and dynamic user list also contains the same field.

 

We have successfully scheduled this publication for the dynamic users, however we have found that when we specify multiple fare basis for any particular user in the dynamic user list then it does not work.

 

Following is the dynamic list we have used which did not work.

This publication has successfully delivered the report to user abc, however it failed to deliver to the users xyz and pqr.

 

Source document has the prompt for marketing fare basis and specifying multiple values while viewing this report works fine.

 

We have found that publication does not work when we specify multiple marketing fare basis in the dynamic user list as RTSBAE;BTSBAE;UTSBAE(using the semicolon).

 

If we specify these marketing fare basis values line by line in the dynamic user list then it works fine. We have used the following dynamic user list which has worked fine.

Later we have found one more problem that the above successful publication has actually sent the PDF files for all of the fare basis individually i.e. it has sent 3 PDF files to xyz user and 2 PDF files to pqr user.

 

Whereas it should have sent only 1 PDF file to each of these users i.e. 1 PDF file to abc user for the "RACP" marketing fare basis, 1 PDF file to xyz user for RTBE,BTWE,UTAE and 1 PDF file to pqr user for BJGN,RJGN.

 

So our observation is, It simply did not merge the data into a single PDF file. We had selected the merge option while scheduling this publication.

 

I would like to know whether anyone has faced the same issue with the publication or not and whether we have any option to merge the data into a single PDF file for the multiple marketing fare basis using the dynamic user list. Can we use , or ; to specify multiple values in the dynamic user list?

BO4 - Tomcat service crashed couple of times in last few days - trying to determine cause

Hi,


We have experienced a couple of Tomcat service crashes in last couple of days.

 

Nothing changed system-wise.

 

Running BO4 SP08.

 

How can we determine what is causing this crashing?  - Had a look in the logs but nothing obvious – please see attached with a view to preventing further re-occurences.

Unable to delete erroneous test promote copy

While doing some maintenance work, I noticed some connections that had "PromotionManagementTestPromoteCOpy_####"


No one promoted connections with those names, but someone did run a test promote, before running the actual promotion.  It seems like Testing the promotion created these connections with "PromotionManagementTestPromoteCopy_####" connections.

 

So, I tried to delete these connections with the Enterprise "Administrator" account itself, and could not.  I received an error "Sorry, you do not have the rights to delete objects ID:22)..... Please contact your administrator if you require this right.    hmmmmmmmmmm  I did try to delete these as THE "Administrator" account in CMC.  

 

Any solutions/workarounds to this issue?

Greetings,

I have a dimension called Notification Type with values: A, B, C etc.

I created the following variables to count my A, B, C etc.

 

vNotification A = Count ([ID]) Where ([Notification Type] = "A"))
vNotification B = Count ([ID]) Where ([Notification Type] = "B"))

 

ID     Name     Room Date Notification A  Notification B

When I dragged the variables, the count is correct, but displays as follows:

 

Following is how I would like the report to display.

Disabling Windows Administrator Account

Initially we have used this Win OS Local Administrator to perform the SAP BOBIP installation to the server.

Now that we want to disable this account but create another admin account for BO due to audit issue.


 

Will it affect the current deployment?

Import SAP BW roles to SAP BO without prefix

Hello,

 

we are re-using our SAP BW authorizations roles for folder authorizations in SAP BO.

Therefore we import roles from SAP BW source system and add these roles to different BO-Groups. Folder authorizations are maintained for these BO Groups.

Import of roles works - but all imported roles / Groups start with a prefix "<SYS-ID>~<CLNT>@"

So if we promote groups/authorizations to qa and prod system we have to add BW roles in each system.

 

E.g.

     DEV-System:

          DEV~001@BW_ROLE --> added to BO Group "BW"

     Promotion to QA-System:

          BO Group contains Role DEV~001@BW_ROLE and QA~002@BW_ROLE has to be added.

        

How to avoid this?

 

There is a similar issue with user which has been resolved by maintaing registry setting.

Active content of pages in CMC & BI Launchpad are empty from a client PC

Hey guys,

 

I've got an issue using BO 4.0. From the localhost everything works fine, but if i request the CMC or the Launchpad from other computers ( remote ore in the same network ) I'm able to login and navigate through menu's, but I'm unable to view any active content.

 

For instance: I'm able to navigate to the user groups in the CMC, but I'm unable to actualy view the users.

                    I'm able to login to the launchpad and navigate my folders, but I'm unable to see the actual documents

                    I'm unable to start webi ( ao any other tool ) from the launchpad

 

I'm on BO 4 SP2 on a windows machine using MSSQL for a Database.

 

Any suggestions are welcome!

Not able to Navigate to the Folder tree in BI Launch Pad

Hi ,

Facing some issue when navigating to the Folder in the BI Launch Pad,its showing  as loading only and not able to view the folder contents.But while the Webi application is opened teh user is able to see the folder structure.

Please help on this issue.
