I have been trying to get Crystal server to promote from 2011 to 2013 for over a year now and continue to run into brick walls. My latest issue is with the Dynamic Prompts. They don't show any data when using them. My question is if there is a way to dump all of the reports and prompts and start over without having to re-install Crystal Server again?

System ODBC connection to Hana viewable in Analysis for Office
I have found the instructions of how to create an ODBC connection to Hana.
I used system ODBC and when I went to find the connection in Analysis for Office 1.4.5, I could not see it. If I create a local ODBC, I am able to see it.
I am using a virtual app of Analysis for Office
I can see all my SAP ODBC connections
What needs to be done to have a System ODBC for HANA show up in Analysis for Office?

Migrating report owner info using UMT
Hi Everyone,
We’re doing an incremental upgrade from 3.1 to 4.1 using UMT, specifically migrating folders with Crystal Reports 2008, including instances. While the upgrade completes successfully, the owner info of the reports from 3.1 does not get migrated to 4.1 but instead picks up the “UserName” used to login for the Source and Destination. Users have already been set-up in 4.1. Are we supposed to migrate both report content along with users and groups, or is there another way around this?

Tomcat 7.055 for BO 4.1
I was recently informed from our network security team that the tomcat we have installed with SAP BO 4.1 SP2 is out of date. I was able to upgrade the tomcat independently from 6 to 7.0.32. But I was told the vulnerability exists in versions older than 7.0.55
Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue with this or any newer version of BO. If there isnt where can i download and install a newer version of tomcat.
I tried and downloaded the jre-8u25-windows-x64.exe from Java which upgraded the JVM to 1.8.0_25 but my tomcat is still at a 7.0.32

BI 4.1 SP 6 Update - Any key issues
I am planning to deploy SP6 on our systems this weekend.
has anyone already applied it ?
Please let me know if you have identified any key issues.
Based on our sandbox system testing, update is smooth . Only issue we had was that tomcat did not start after update due to max and initial heap
size difference. After fixing,it worked fine.

Connection Server32 causing "CALL_FUNCTION_SIGNON_INCOMPL" dump
We have recently installed SAP BI BO SP7 on a machine. The installation went smooth and we did not face any issues. However, we are getting dumps on SAP BW server. The run time error says "CALL_FUNCTION_SIGNON_INCOMPL"
The error details say: The ABAP program running "SAPMSSY1" had to be interrupted because the logon could not be completed. The logon data for the user " " is incomplete. The termination occured in the ABAP program "SAPMSSY1" - in "REMOTE_FUNCTION_CALL"
The termination was at the below point in the source code -
CALL 'RfcImport' ID 'Type' Field type
Connection Information in snapshot -
These dumps stop when we stop Connection Server32 in BO. Also, these dumps are not necessarily generated when a report is being run in the BO.
Please guide on how to resolve this issue.

OpenDocument and Chrome 45
With the recent update of Chrome to version 45 odd behavior with Business Objects OpenDocument commands are occuring for us. It seems that using Chrome to receive an PDF output from an OpenDocument call does not work. It yields and invalid PDF that is really a html script coming from the server. I understand that Chrome has made some changes to the browser to not allow Adobe PDF viewers to work, but there are other extensions that continue to render PDF's and on the troubled browsers they work fine for all except PDF's generated from an OpenDocument url. Is there anyone who has experienced this issue? Did you resolve it? If so how?

Sybase IQ driver and Linux BI platform
I'm having the following error message while i'm trying to refresh the reports which extracts data from Sybase IQ:
DBDriver failed to load : /opt/SAPBI/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/dataAccess/connectionServer/drivers/lib64/libdbd_iqdbodbc16.so (libdbodbc16.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory).
What I've done so far:
- installed IQ client tool Sybase IQ 16.0 Network Client Linux x86-64 with default configuration
-created odbc entry which point to my IQ driver.
Why does it still use opt/SAPBI/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/dataAccess/connectionServer/drivers/lib64/libdbd_iqdbodbc16.so if i've installed it in /opt/SYBASEIQ/....
here is extract from IQ:

ServerName=DWHIQ

File Repository Server Input is down
Ref: BusinessObjects Universe Designer Import Universe Issue: I am receiving the following error when attempting to import a universe onto a PC that only has the client software installed: u201CFile Repository Server Input is downu201D. However, the import process works fine when running it on the server. The following Core Services are enabled and running:
- FileRepositoryServer
- InputFileRepository
- OutputFileRepository
I can perform other process fine from the client only PC including opening and modifying local universes, view the list of universes in the repository, and running the Central Management Console.
Anyone have any ideas what would cause this issue and how to resolve it?

BOBJ Connection to HANA SP9 calculation view
We are upgrading our Hana environment to SP9.
We currently have an IDT universe against a Hana Calculation view (non-BW) that uses a JDBC connection that will not connect to the new HANA SP9
We are on BOBJ 4.1. SP5
Should this connection work? If not, what should I be using?

Export to CSV changes Column Headers and order of Columns
when a webi report is exported as a txt file the structure of the report remains in tact, however, when the option to export as a csv is chosen the headers change and the order of the headers are changed.
Has anyone found a resolution or patch to fix this issue?
Currently on BI 4.0 SP05 Patch 2 and have tested in SP06.

SSO is not working on Business Objects 4.1 SP6 with AD/Tomcat

I setup SSO on Business Objects 4.1 SP6 with AD/Tomcat , followed all the suggested steps but keeps running into the following issue when I launch the BI Launchpad as follows. We are not using SSL in this case.

How to set up BI 4.1 to work with Crystal Reports
Hi SCN Community,
We are migrating from XI3 to BI4.1 (SP 5) on Linux and found that post migration, migrated 32 bit crystal reports do not run.
The error is The viewer could not process an event. An error occurred while creating a subprocess in the processing server. [RCIRAS0603]
---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]
It appears this is because BI 4.1 can't find the appropriate 32 bit crystal libraries.
Anyone have experience with this situation and know the prerequisites for 32 bit crystal reports to run on BI 4.1?
We understand that the 32 bit oracle drivers and related environment variables need to be installed/updated but it appears there is more to it than that as making those changes have not resolved the problem.
We have reviewed and tried the following without success.

As i am facing issue in report bursting. Till yesterday all jobs were ran successfully and today all the jobs failed and i tried to re-run the jobs, again and again its getting failed. But reports are working fine without any issues. Please find attached the server log below. Please suggest ASAP.

Email Alerts for change in BI 4.1CMC services
Hello Everyone,
I would like to find out how to set up email notification for change in services in CMC. We have been facing issues lately. Whenever SIA restarts, all the services start up automatically, but a few of them go into "Stop" state after some time and we have to manually start them. The option for "automatically start service when SIA restarts" is enabled in properties of all the services. To avoid logging into CMC to check to see if all the services are up and running, I would like to find out, if there's a way to get an email alerts whenever a service stops or restarts. This will help us not logging into CMC more frequently and will also help us in avoiding failures in reports due to stoppped services.
I have seen a few blogs that talk about Monitoring and even some from XIR2 and XI3.x, but none seemed helpful. I would appreciate any feedback on this.

Central Management Console - An unexpected error has occurred
Hi,
We have a very old installation of the Central Management Console (v12.0) and all seemed fine. However, in the past couple of days we found that if you try to load a new Crystal Reports file (Manage > Add > Crystal Reports) you get this 'An unexpected error has occurred' message after having identified the report file and clicked 'OK'.
Message isn't very helpful and I can't find any documentation that might point me to what is wrong and how to fix it.
All existing reports are continuing to run correctly, it seems just the adding new reports function that is impacted.
Any suggestions?

SAP BI 4.1 SP6 Server installation errors on Windows 8 System
Hi Team,
I am trying to install SAP BI 4.1 SP6 Server on my Windows 8 laptop for personal evaluation. I have read in system pre-requisites that OS should be Server OS but bot Client OS, however there is one blog which says if we edit product_seed.xml (Installing SAP BusinessObjects 4.1 on Windows 7 (for evaluation purpose)) from SERVER to WORKSTATION then installation process works.
I tried this approach and installation process worked. There was an error message at the end saying 'Installation encountered errors during installation process'. I checked the log and attached file contains the logs with line 'error'.
The log says system could not reach CMC, please check the credentials.
