We can't install Dashboards Design4.1 SP4 with product keycode error.
We can't install Dashboards Design4.1 SP4 with product keycode error.
When I installed Dashboards Design4.1 SP4, below message was appeared;
Error;
Product keydode is invalid.
We tried some product version's product keycode.
BA&T SAP BusinessObjects Dashboard (CS) XI 4.1

sure.)

Why the Java object was gone?
I submitted an job at 5:00am. Usually it takes 25 mins to run.
But last thursday, it took about 6 hours and status was still "Running".
I deleted it from History page.
System gave me an one line error that I didn't write it down then it deleted everything from History and the Java object itself.
Don't understand why it had happened.
Where I should go to check? and how?

Cant log on to IDT 4.1 in QA and PROD
Hi,
I have installed 4.1 SP2 client tools and trying to use IDT.
I can log on to my Dev enviornment using enterprise authentication but not able to log on to QA and PROD.
ODBC connection is already created to the datasource and I have CMC authentication as an Administrator. when I try to log on I get this error
Error:
Failed to log on host "@BOH-QAS-APP01.RXO.RXO.local:6400", user "ronc", Could not reach CMS '@BOH-QAS-APP01.RXO.RXO.local:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)

A job has failed to run - Notifications
Hello everyone,
I've followed other posters instructions on settin gup failed to run notificaitons within the CMC but mine is not working. We have BO 4 and this was how I setup the notifications:
Right clicked on the failed report - History - Default Settings - Notification - Email Notificaiton - check 'a job has failed to run' - put in my email address in both the From and To - click Save and Close.
This report failed with the error:
server error. [Error initializing SMTP server. Return code: [TCP send failed.]. Reason: [inesg2.alliance.lan:25].]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]
It tried to run again and it got this error:
write error. [Error sending mail message to SMTP server. Return code: [].]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]
I never recieved an email notificaiton about this failing. The end user is able to go into the report and get the data with no problem, but this is a scheduled report that they shouldn't need to go out to to get.
Am I misunderstanding what this function does? In my mind, this feature should tell me if a scheduled report failed. Or, is this notification feature meant to do something else?

I create shortcut for user to get a cr but not working
1. added report to Customer service folder
2. created shortcut in closure group, which is attached to Customer service.
the new report is not appearing when I login as that user. why? I can see the report shortcut when viewing in CMC but not when actual logging in.

Tomcat configuration on BOXI3.1 SP5.
We are doing a load test on BOXI3.1 SP5 (out of box tomcat 5.5),after 500 Vusers login ,PE team noticed below errors
1. Action.c(8): Error -27796: Failed to connect to server "bobjwmsso.ms.com:8080": [10061] Connection refused
2.. Action.c(23): Error -27728: Step download timeout (120 seconds) has expired
Already applied below changes to tomcat "server.xml"

Failed to connect to the OLAP Source (Error:INF)
Hi,
I have a sandpit environment which has a BO and BW system... I refreshed the BW system from production and did all necessary post steps for connectivity to ECC/CRM/BO etc.
The issue I have is when I run webi reports in BO they fail with "failed to connect to the olap source".
1. When I run the analysis reports they work fine.
2. When I create a new webi report and run it works fine.
So the issue is all the old webi reports stop running after I refreshed the BW system.. any suggestions?
Is there some post processing that needs to be done in BO to get the webi reports working after a BW refresh?
btw we use SSO and STS is configured and working as far as I can tell.

I am encountering an issue, while Validating the SQL Statements in IDT
Same was faced at back end DB2 Database, and was resolved by adding the Key - resultSetHoldability = 2, at the driver Properties Section of DB2 Data source
Need to know how to update same in Business Objects so that issue gets resolved in IDT
Error : DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-727, SQLSTATE=56098, SQLERRMC=2;-1880;428EE;WITH HOLD|CURSOR ATTRIBUTE|SQL_CURSH200C1|NET8|ORA_WDLNK, DRIVER=3.57.82

Design Studio won't Display on BI Launchpad
Hello,
First of all, please try to open the attached xml files on microsoft word. it didnt allow me to post docx.
We have BO 4.1 SP4 fresh installation on windows server 2008. We also installed BI Add-on 1.3 (SP1) for design studio and BO explorer. Everything is supposed to be installed with no error messages.
We developed some very basic design studio dashboards (with data sources and without data sources). We have no problem executing them locally. However, when we publish them to BI launchpad, it displays a very long error message.
I realized, this may be due to BO explorer-BI add on for DS conflict and BI add-on possible didn't create the necessary servers. Initially when we opened the published dashboards, it gave the attached error1.xml . I digged the error message and on CMC/servers tried creating Analysis Application Service (APS) under Analysis Services server group. After that, the error message on BI Launchpad turned to attached error2.xml .
I did some digging and tried to create an Adaptive Connectivity Service under Connectivity Services server group but it didn't create initially. There was a bug and we followed note (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2003628 ) worked around it and finally created the server. However, the error message is still the error2.
I tried repairing BI Add-on installation, it didn't change anything. I also went in to modify installation and made sure everything is chosen to be installed.
One more thing: published dashboards are also not visible on SAP BI Mobile application.
Does any one know how to solve this issue? Are we on the right track that this is a server issue that the BI Add-on setup forgot create?

I CANNOT SEE SIA AFTER INSTALL BO 4.1 SP4
Hello everyone!
I have a problem with installation BO 4.1 SP4, I have this environment:
- Windows 2008 R2 SP1
- Oracle 11 G R2 (in the same server)
- Business Objects 4.1 SP4
- RAM: 20GB
After to install in the message to finish said it finish with errors. When I start CMC on web page and try to log in, this message appear: "The CMS on machine 'XXX' was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031)"
And when I open CCM I cannot see SIA Server either.
If I tryed to repair, it cannot recognize mi password, Could anybdy help me?

SAP Business Objects 4.0 SP5 - Windows AD is not showing up on the authentication menu
Hi Everyone,
I'm having a very strange issue in my BO platform.
The Windows AD authentication is not working and when i'm going to authentication menu to manage the windows ad authentication the menu have only "Enterprise" , "LDAP" , "Oracle EBS" and "SAP" . The "Windows AD" is not showing up anymore.
Does anyone faced any issue like that ?
Recently i had a problem with a scheduling and my BO wasnt running anymore cause the repository DB was full of scheduling error records. Then SAP support had deleted some records from my oracle repository DB to fix the problem. Maybe this can be related to the actual WinAD authentication problem ?

Disable search functionality within BI launchpad for (external) users
Dear BI Readers,
The case is that we want to use one specific WebIntelligence report for an external user.
We've setup security levels on user, role and folder but the user can still search and find, despite security, for other reports that we don't want to share.
Is there an easy way to disable the search functionality within BI launchpad for specific users?
We're on platform 4.0 SP5.
