We are currently on BusinessObjects 4.0 SP02. We are in the process of upgrading our environment to 4.1 SP02. And when I say upgrade I mean we are performing a fresh installation. We are doing this for a variety of reasons (new hardware, new backend OS, new database software, etc.). I've migrated all of the reports, user groups etc from the 4.0 SP02 production environment to the new 4.1 SP02 sandbox using LCM. Everything migrated fine. The one thing I am unable to migrate using LCM are all of the user favorites. These are the custom, modified reports users save to their "My Favorites" folder in the BI Launch pad. I thought perhaps I could use the upgrade management tool to migrate these objects (using LIVE to BIAR in 4.0 SP02 and then do a BIAR to LIVE or use promotion management in the 4.1 environment), however I do not see them available in the object selection screen.
My question is, is this approach even feasible? Has anyone performed a fresh installation and had any luck migrating these user favorites?
