unable to proceed with installation. Error " install already in progress. An install is already running at this location"

Hi All

We are trying to upgrade our BI Platform from SAP BO 4.0 to SAP BO 4.1. But we are not able
to upgrade any software version (Server/Explorer/service pack) or even perform
a repair as we are constantly getting the error " install already in
progress. An install is already running at this location.

1 - OK "

The installtion is constantly hanging. We are trying this from 1 week. But no improvement.

env details: SAP BO 4.0 SP06 patch 6
OS : UNIX AIX 7.1

1. We have tried installing various update packs and same issue.
2. We tried to do a repair and the same issue.
3. We have restarted the servers,DataBase and tomcat servers various times. But the same issue.
4. We have restarted the entire physical server (lpars and still the same issue.

Kindly have a look at the issue and help us in resolving the issue at
the earliest as we are unable to procced with the update.
