SAP BO 3.1 to 4.1 Migration queries

Dear friends,

I am working on BO 3.1 to 4.1 migration.I am using VDI for migration.Is it possible to have BO3.1 and 4.1 client tools in same desktop.After migration I need to compare it in both versions.is there any way to do the validation. your input is much appreciated.
