I'm working on installing the BI Platform on a Windows Server 2012 SP2 system for a client. I've tried this full install (not upgrade) with both SP6 and SP5 with the same results.
Symptoms:
- The install finishes with errors.
- The install log notes that 5 DFO files failed to install.

- These same files are in <INSTALL_DIR>\setup\packagestemp.
- When I try to log in to the CMC, I see this error: while trying to invoke the method com.businessobjects.swd.shared.actioncache.ICafAction.getProperty(com.businessobjects.swd.shared.actioncache.PropertyKey)
of a null object loaded from local variable 'action'
- When I log in to BI Launchpad, I can see the reports in the folders but the only thing I can do with them is view the details, but that throws an error.
