Hope you can shed some light here.
I have installed BI 4.1 SP5 server and client software on Windows Server 2012. It all works fine and I am in the process of setting SSO.
My client wants now to have Crystal Reports 2013 SP5 (Designer) installed to the same server. This means installation of CR 2013 AFTER installation and configuration of BI 4.1 platform software.
I approach this requirement with a great degree of caution based on my bad experience from late last year when I Installed Crystal Reports 2013 Designer AFTER I installed Crystal Reports Server 2013. After installation of CR 2013 Designer I could not log onto the platform and I had to re-install everything.
I then installed CR 2013 Designer and THEN the Crystal Reports Server 2013 and it worked.
My problem now is that I simply can't afford time to start from scratch if anything bad happens.
Questions:
1. Have you guys had the problems with installing CR 2013 Designer AFTER you installed the BI 4.1 Platform ? Were you able to fix them without re-installing everything ?
2. Are there any special steps that need to be taken to prevent potential problems ? Could you point me to some articles or resources covering this area ?
3. Basically, what are mu options here ?
