I am a newbie in SAP BI, currently we are using the platform's version 14.1.3.1257. I'm very happy with the platform services but I don't know the version management is useful for. Is a version management like Subversion or CVS? Is it used for the same purpose?. We are trying to use with our BI content (universes and webi's) but we don't know how to commit new versions.
In the official admin guide they talk about infoobjects. What are they?
Our main purpose is to have a VM of our BI content. Is the version management the correct tool for that?
