We have XIR 3.1 SP4 on Windows Server with Tomcat 5.5, the domain controller is on windows server 2008.
As a part of the Windows AD authentication and Single sigle on implementation, the XIR3.1 guide and other posts (blogs) says that the service account is needed to be created and this service account should be a part of local administrator's group on the Business Objects server. Also this service account should have appropriate right "Act as a Part of the Operating System" on the server.
Now, we don't have either of the above settings configured, but still the windows authentication is working and even single sign on? Does anyone know how?
Is it not mandatory that the service account should be added to the local administrators group with proper rights?
