We have a production Business objects 4.0 (SP7) cluster server with SSO & SSL (HTTPS) configuration. We also have a disaster recovery server where BO content is replicated on a daily basis using the replication & federation tool in CMC.
Problem # 1:
Federation service does not work with the HTTPS link does not work. When the https link is entered upon selection of replication list from the source system we get the below error. this was reported as a bug with a fix pack was planned by SAP but that never came.
Unable to connect to the remote system at URI https://servername:8443/dswsbobje/. The error was "login exception (Error: WSE 99999)"
Problem # 2:
We are using replication and federation on HTTP however now the issue is replication which use to work fine earlier for a few months now does not work very well. Federation Job status shows successful on the scheduled time of running the job but detailed log shows "NULL Error" or "Error creating temporary file" and many jobs show content as committed to destination correctly but when I search for those reports it is not found on the DR Server.
I have tested by creating new replication jobs and sometimes it has worked and other times it did not.
Any ideas please.
Other Info: lately much of the content has been deleted, moved, new content created etc. as a part of cleaning of unused reports etc. I am not sure if this will make a difference.
