Hi to all BO4 IDT users,
We are about to upgrade from BO XI 3 to BO 4. And there we found some strange behaviour in the IDT. We are used to define complex joins with XI 3.0 Universe Designer using subqueries and/or aggregate functions like min or max. Often used with tables showing historical information for some entity through a timestamp. So, if I want the latest or the oldest state of an entity I use max or min of timestamp, and this together with a subquery. So far, no problem with XI 3.0 Universe Designer.
Trying the same thing in BO 4 Information Design Tool I allways get an error saying something like "encountered select where xy expected" or "where clause must not contain aggregate function". The statements are correct for themselves.
I'm very surprised. What am I doing wrong? If the "old" method is no longer working, how to do it differently?
I guess there's more than one BO 4 user who had the same problem and already solved it - please ;-)
