SAP BI 4.0 - OS/DB Migration

I'm looking for Best Practices to move one BI to a new OS & DB  : Source Sun/Oracle 10, Target HPUX or Linux / Oracle 11

In "Business Intelligence Platform Administrator Guide - SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0 Support Package 4", Chap "13.5 Considerations and limitations" I saw that "The source and target operating systems must be the same." to perform a copy
