Hi,
We have a situation wherein a customer requests frequent promotion of objects from production system to quality & then development.
They have constraints in following the standard procedure (D->Q->P) as they follow the practice of making report changes directly in the production system. But they need now the quality & development to also be in sync with the production reports & universes as a fallback scenario.
Though a reverse promotion is technically possible, what arguments could be made against this practice so that the customer could be dissuaded from following it?
Arguments in both the cases of 3.x & 4.x architectures would be helpful.
Many thanks in advance for your valuable suggestions!
