Denying Promotion Management Still Has Enabled Promote Button

Hi All,

I have a scenario where I would like a person to be able to do everyhting related to promotion management except be able to promote or rollback jobs.

I have assigned the out of the box "Full Control" access level and then created a custom access level and explicity denied the ability at application level for promotion managament.  However, when the user goes to the promotion management application, the promote button is still enabled. If they try to promote a job, they can go through the steps and there is no security message. It appears that the job is not actually promoted though. This seems a little counterintuitive as the button is still enabled.

Does anyone know if the promote button (and the rollback button) are supposed to work this way? Perhaps my understanding of the security inheritance is flawed which may be causing this?

Thank you in advance for any help rendered.
