We actually work with SAP Crystal Server 2013 and we need use Sap crystal report clients to edit some reports, but when we  try to connect the next message appear:

We test this KBA: 1985014 - Test Connection returns "Error: SOAP message MUST NOT contain a document Type Declaration(DTD)" in CR for Enterprise via HTTPS

but twe dont use https...we use http protocol and the issue continue.

Any other test we can do ?

Server Details:

OS= Linux RedHat 6.5

APP= SAP Crystal Server 2013

Clients= SAP Crystal for Enterprise and SAP Crystal Report 2013.

I'm posting this here because I have not found this documented anywhere, so others might find it useful.

The scenario is as follows: an OLAP connection is created to a BW system, and can be confirmed to work via the CMC (using "Choose cube") or via WebI Desktop. However, when one tries to use the browser-based WebI, the error below is thrown:

This error has several causes apparently, judging from Notes 2088944 and 2062091. In these cases, the cause is a symbol in the password of the BW account. That was not the case here, as the password did not contain any symbols. Other notes suggested a BW password change may cause this as well, because the relevant APS server caches the password originally used and the new one is not forwarded to BW. We have had that very same issue just hours before a Demo and that can ruin your day . Another cause to check is authorisation in both BW (of the BW account to the cube) and BI (authorisation of the user to the OLAP connection).

Now back to the issue at hand. The logs will "help" you. The WebI processing server GLF will claim that the "password logon is no longer possible" because of "too many failed attempts" on the BW server:

Well, you know the password works, there is no authorisation issue on either sides, no symbols in the BW password, so what is wrong? Another note will suggest restarting servers, SIA and even re-creating APS servers when the BW password is changed. We tried all that, but in this case, the password had not changed, so re-creating servers, etc., did not help.

In the end, the problem is that there was an invalid configuration for SAP authentication in the area CMC > Authentication > SAP. An invalid "Entitlement Systems" entry was for some reason causing the problem. When clicking on the tab "Role Import", the same error "too many attempts" would be thrown.

Interestingly, all OLAP connections were using Pre-defined Authentication (not SSO), so one would think SSO SAP authentication would not affect these connections. Well, think again.

Solution: in the end, we just removed the offending SAP Entitlement records (there were two), restarted the APS and WebI processing servers, and the connection works. Hope this will help someone.

Mendy tried following the instructions from the service marketplace here: (Note: I got this information for her as she is trying her free trial at the moment and hasn't purchased the product or maintenance for it)

1.Log on to the Central Management Console as Administrator

2.Go to the Servers area and open the Crystal Report Processing Server

3.Set the Maximum Concurrent Jobs to a higher value ie.100

4.Restart the Crystal Report Processing Server

5.Reset the Maximum Concurrent Jobs value to 0

6.Restart the Crystal Report Processing Server

However, these instructions don't look like the ones in her attached picture that she has:

How do we proceed from here?

We want to find the cause for this:

Which user or which report is behind the memory consumption?

Are there any tools or monitorings answering this?

Or do I have to analyze the corresponding logfiles for "errors" ? - Maybe there is no error behind the high memory consumption at all?

We are trying to change/modify arguments in program generated by BOE scheduler. We can modify and save the program. However, when the program executed it's not working as per changed settings.

Here is the background on this requirement:

We were on BI 4.0 SP5, recently upgraded to BI 4.1 SP6. BOE scheduler program generated prior to the upgrade use to have additional arguments, which we think is right. This works perfectly event based dependencies to run in sequential execution of jobs.

After the upgrade program created by scheduler is not having those arguments.

Old Program arguments as below:

Hi,

we move CRS 2013 to an other Datacenter and have to change ip address and CMS Database server.

Installation (virtual machine) has been moved.

After ip change all services in CMC are active and running.

Exporting Reports with Crystal Job Server into filesystem is ok.

But we can't send Reports via email with Job Server.

I can send out emails via telnet from server sucessfull.

It allways failed. In the history of the report instance found the reason > Error in Report processing <

E-Mail Server settings in Job Server are correct.

What could I check?

In Processingserver Log I've found:

we are getting different "JCO_ERROR_DESTINATION_DATA_INVALID" errors if we are navigating through design studio applications (-> OLAP connection SAP BW) released at our SAP BO BI Platform caused by different reasons:

java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 1, Size: 1

The problem only occurs if there are more than 20 - 30 contemporaneous OLAP/BIP connections (different users). If there are i.e. 5 OLAP connections/BIP sessions we are not able to reproduce the error.

In every case we get the same warning:

SAP Design Studio 1.6 SP 1 Patch 2
SAP Netweaver BW 7.31 SP14 with BI JAVA Version 7.31 SP15 Patch 20

Due to load distribution we are using three application servers for our BW system (Java stack)

SAP BO BI Platform 4.1 SP6 with newest DS Add On 1.6 SP 1 Patch 2.

I am facing an error in Production server "infoobject USITM does not fulfill ref.integrity in record" at DTP loading in Process Chain.

As In Transformation, There is check mark in the reference integrity option but error records are not present in SID table of Infoobject.

Can you please give the permanent solution of this as this issue is critical for me.

I want a particular user group not to see the web intelligence icon in launch pad in the my applications section. But I want this group to be able to open reports on launch pad NOT through the java applet.

I tried denying rights to "Log on web intelligence" and the icon is hidden but then the users can't open reports on launch pad.

What can I do please?

We were on SAP BO 4.1 SP2 After upgrading on SP4. I am not able to Login through CMC "Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS 'JKBODEV:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)". while checking into the event Viewer I found the error "Server Intelligence Agent has failed to initialize. The port number is likely in use. Please confirm that your Server Intelligence Agent port number is not in use by another program. com/rsa/jsafe/CryptoJ". SIA Server is showing started but error shows it is not working.

For this copied  jce.jar from another working BI platform 4.1 SP4 according to SAP NOTE 2033715 but still it's not working.

Let me know if you have solution to resolve this issue.

I checked in the PAM document and IE 11 is compatible but at the moment is deployed with Java 32-bit

Has anyone know if IE11 is better with Java 32-bit or 64-bit?

I just need to make case to my IT department to have IE packaged with Java 64-bit

I could not say I am new on BO, but requesting license is not really clear.

Example:

a customer has mixed license (CSBL and Named) 15 CSBL and 50 NU

A development environment is being installed and we have to ask for a license.

What should we do ? Request the license for NU and CSBL and use all the available ?

If we do that, does it imply that the production system will have enough licenses free ?

We are currently facing a strange behavior in our BI environments.

We have set up SAP authentication and SSO from BW to BO according to this documentation "How to setup SSO against SAP BW with SAP BO BI4.0"

And it worked fine according to KBA 1767629.

However, since a few days, all the new users for which we have created an Enterprise account aliased with an SAP account fail to leverage the SSO connection to BW data through BICS.

Strangely, we are still able to leverage SSO with all the accounts created a few months ago.

So far, we've checked roles in BW and permissions in BO (all users have the exact same profile) and almost all the steps from note 1976414 seem to be fine.

Any lead on what could be wrong?

I am working on production server having SAP BO 3.1 version. I am looking both Admin and report development.

Most of our reports are Deski and some are WEBI.

We had Database backup few days ago which is hosted on different server and we restarted our reporting server (SAP BO) which is also hosted on different server.

Now after restarting we are facing some anomalies behavior of our BO server as mentioned below.

1>  sometimes we are getting "FWM 01003 Null server may be down error" error.

2>  If we do not get above error then users are unable to refresh their reports. their scheduled reports are getting failed after 20-30 mins of running /           while refreshing reports manually.

3>  Even if they managed to refresh the reports they are unable to save reports.

4>  I refreshed one reports and saved it in xls format but while opening the file it I got file is corrupted error message.

5>  sometime we get "there is not enough free memory to run this program. exit one or more programs"  error.

Need solution for each point mentioned above.

KB 1688079 says that End-to-End SSO will not work with SSAS if constrained delegation is enabled.  We had to enable constrained delegation in order for Chrome to do SSO to InfoView, so we are in a Catch-22.

Has this been resolved?  Is it possible to do SSO to SSAS with constrained delegation enabled?

If not, is it possible to run the MDAS as a different service account than the rest of BO?

I'm having issues in scheduling a report to email as a destination on a clean BOBJ 4.2 SP2 installation running on Windows Server 2012 R2.  Looking to see if anyone has this running successfully on a similar environment.

The SMTP server is enabled on the local server for anonymous access. I have validated email is working by sending an email via a PowerShell command on the local server console.

The Adaptive Job Server is configured for Email destination.  The settings are correctly configured to use the local SMTP server, we have similar configurations working properly on other BOBJ 4.1 servers.

To reproduce the error, schedule the "Charting Samples" report in the "Web Intelligence Samples" folder as an XLS file to email destination.  After ~5 minutes in the running state, the scheduled instance fails with the the error "Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server".

If you are running a similar configuration as above, please share your test results.

Requesting your advice/assistance on an issue we're facing setting up BI 4.1 Trusted Authentication using USER_PRINCIPAL in WebSphere.

Environment:

SAP BI 4.1 SP7 installed on Solaris 11 (Single deployment with default Tomcat)

WebSphere 8.5.5 installed on a separate Solaris 11

Facts:

• Deployment of EAR files to WebSphere are successful
• Followed the steps on KB 1593628 - TA using QUERY_STRING using Tomcat. Successful.
• Followed the same steps on KB 1593628 using WebSphere. Successful.
• TrustedPrincipal.conf is used for Shared Secret
• Preferred method by our Tech guys is USER_PRINCIPAL
• Followed the Admin guide (p. 223) on setting up TA using USER_PRINCIPAL via Tomcat. Successful. Tomcat login prompt is displayed and when credential is entered (which both exists as Tomcat user and Enterprise account), BO let the user in to BI launchpad.
• Followed the same steps on setting up TA using USER_PRINCIPAL via WebSphere - the WAS admin provided me the role-name which I have included in web.xml. Failed. The URL for /BOE/BI just go directly to BI Launchpad login page. WAS admin and I are expecting WebSphere login prompt, similar to Tomcat, but to no avail.

Questions:

• What is missing in our setup?
• What should be included in the BOE/web.xml that is deployed in WebSphere? Our WAS admin provided some help on what should be included in web.xml (security-constraint) based on his experience on other application but didn't work in our BI setup.
• How can I isolate if the problem is in the settings or in WebSphere? Any troubleshooting tips?
• What's the requirement for WebSphere to make the TA work with BI?
  

The setup seems pretty straight forward but it's our first time to set this up so it's a bit of challenge. Any help is much appreciated.

Our client business has the hierarchy as below:

We have restricted the filtration in BEX query and same is working as required. But when the same BEX query is used in Dashboard the restriction in filter is not working.

Problem Statement: - When a particular Zone is selected, then filter for Circle should display only those Circles corresponding to the selected Zone, Currently it is displaying the circles of other Zones as well.

• Data Source : Data is being fetched from BEX Query.

For example:

Zone ABC has Circles 123, 456, 789. So on selection of Zone ABC in filter, Only Circles 123, 456, 789, must be displayed in filter of Circle whereas currently it is showing Circles of other Zones.

• Dropdown List for Circle:  Above the Zone Selected is BORDER, whereas circles displayed are showing all Circle, for Example, PATIALA is under SOUTH Zone.
