Cannot start SIA in BI4.1 while configuring SSO
Hi All,
I am trying to configure SSO for windows AD. My environment is Windows 2012 server and BO 4.1 SP2.
i have followed all the guides and previous discussions but i am getting stuck when I need to set the SIA to use the service account we created.
All my SPNS look fine, users mapped ok in CMC, added service account to local admin group as well as "part of operating system policy" but once i stop SIA and enter the service account and PW i get an error "Access Denied"
i have not seen any other discussions with my exact environment of Windows 2012 and BI 4.1 SP2
Any suggestions?

BO4 - Dashboards - not able to add query
Hi,
Getting message below when add component to dashboard ad try and add query.
Have never used dashboards before and have a few .unx universes.
Using bo4 sp08.
Have read the note checked out the url and added it as an alias to the server.xml on the actual server but still same error.
I've changed the port number under which the web services run from 6405 to the one Tomcat uses but not sure if this is best practice and now runs.
No firewall issues as same domain so not sure why doesn't work on 6405
Any thoughts.

Central Management Server- BO 4.0
Hi all,
Some reason Central Management Server is not starting. It goes into "Stopping" state when I try to restart the server. I can stop it but not able to run. Under "Watchlist" there is an error " An exception occurred while formatting the response (MON00044)'.
I already reinstalled BO from control pannel and also try to start but no luck
Any suggestions

WEBI reports do not open in launchpad, if end user is not given access to web based WEBI application in Launchpad - BOBJ 4.1 SP2
We are running into an issue in BOBJ 4.1 SP2 launchpad
We want to customise the BI Launchpad, so that the end user do not have access to the client applications like Webi.
So access to WEBI tool is removed for end users by changing the setting in CMC- Applications- Web Intelligence
But when we do that, the WEBI reports fail to open from our enertrpise portal/launchpad.
The WEBI reports open fine when the Web Intelligence tool is provided access to Everyone from the CMC-Applications.
We do not want end users to use the WEBI tool from the web, but still be able to view the WEBI reprots that they have access to for printing and exporting to excel and so on.
Please advise if you have come across this scenario.

Publication - separate reports
We have a WEBI report that has an input control (cost centre) that allows only one value to be selected at a time
We wish to burst this report to cost centre managers, some of whom have responsibility for more than one cost centre.
I have set up a profile to include each of the managers and added the cost centres they are responsible for as profile values (in list)
Where a manager has resonsibility for more than one cost centre the published report instance (email pdf) is combining the cost centres (adding results together), not sending a separate report for each cost centre.
Please can you advise what I need to do to get a separate report for each cost centre?

BO 4.1 - Auditing
Hello,
Can anyone help me to enable /configure the audit universe to run the audit reports.
We have BO4.1 SP1 environment, audit db was created during installed. But in CMC it is showing auditing is disabled. Also there is no audit universe (Activity.unv - in BO XI 3.1 versions ) in our landscapes. We haven;t installed samples during the installaiton.
If I install the samples, can I get that universe or sample audit reports or it is completely new setup in BO 4.1. Please let me know.
Also let me know the enabling/configuring the auditing in CMC and reports to get users login time to BO system, etc..

IE Does Not Allow Access

Business Objects 4.0 SP6 not working with Internet Explorer 10
Hello,
BO 4.0 SP6 should fully support IE 10. I am using IE 10 on a Windows 7 machine, but like on SP5 it's not working correctly, weird drop down boxes are shown in launch pad and so on.
Is there anything else to do to get it working, any experiences?

CRCAF00000030 error from OpenDocument
Running 4.1 SP1 Patch 2 (on Windows, with Tomcat) and we run into an error
"This error occurred: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1 [CRCAF00000030]"
when opening Crystals via OpenDocument links. The issue appears to be that OD is expecting prompt parameters and fails if it does not get them. I have found that by appending "&lsS" anywhere in the existing link query parameters it will work as intended, but there is nothing in the documentation that indicates the prompt parameters are required. The same works fine in XI3.1.
My only possible workaround right now is to use a URLRewriteFilter to correct the URL, but it's a bit brutish, and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue? If so how did you resolve it?
(Yes, I have an open support case, but they are "not able to reproduce the issue")

BOBJ 4.1 SSO with both Windows and SAP BW
I know it is easy to setup either one but Is it possible to setup SSO both for Windows and SAP BW at the same time in 4.1? Do you have to do something different when doing both?

Crystal Reports Error CRWEB00000119
Hi,
We are running BOE 4.0 SP4 Patch 6 on the Windows platform.
While running a particular crystal report 2011, we get this below error:
The viewer could not process an event. Error in File contractor_and_schedule_spend_report:
Max processing time or Max records limit reached []
---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]
This only happens with one CR, and not with any others.
This runs successfully in CR 2011 client but not in BI Launchpad.
What could be causing this?

Click on New -> Web Intelligence Document
I get the error :
An error has occurred: Cannot find the user, group or object 1842388.
WebIntelligenceProcessingServer is running

Sporadic Session Manager problems in Business View Manager
Business View Manager (version 14.1.2.1121)
SAP BO-BI 4.1 (SP02) clients
Software is installed on server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise - Service Pack 1 OS
This is a TEST server - and has both the SAP BO-BI 4.1 Platform and Client Tools installed. Problem behavior is the same on different environments with the same set-up, so it is not hardware related.
We are experiencing a sporadic "Session Manager" error when trying to launch the Business View Manager as described below.
1.) Login Screen appears in Business View Manager client, but AUTHENTICATION options are all BLANK in the drop-down, and there is no way to Manually enter them.
2.) Manually entering other values and clicking OK results in the following error -
Internal error: Unable to initialize the session manager.
3.) Close the error.
4.) Close the application and re-launch it.
5.) Repeat steps 1-5 for what appears to be a "random" number of times *(it's a sporadic problem).
6.) "Poof" the problem goes away - and you can login to Business View Manager correctly....but problem may return at any time.
Anyone seen this before - and know what might be causing the "Session Manager" problem...?

We plan to install BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.1 SP2 for the first time. My question is, can we install BO 4.1 SP2 straight? Or do we need to install 4.1 first, then apply SP2?

Left pan not showing in BI launch pad
Hi All,
I have upgraded my Internet Explorer version to IE9. After installing when I open BI launch pad then it does not showing me left pan menu like Folders. Only it shows me My Documents and also launch pad not visible clearly. I have also attached screenshot of BI launch pad. Please help...
